Jenn Walter brings to Heartsleeve Creatives over 30 years of experience in theatre, as a highly respected and versatile performer and arts practitioner. Having contributed to more than 80 stage productions, she has worn many creative hats — as a performer, director, musical director, composer, producer and administrator.
With a strong foundation in musical, contemporary, and classical theatre, Jenn has performed in iconic works including Macbeth, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Julius Caesar, Mother Courage and Her Children, Antigone and Electra.
Jenn has performed and toured extensively with Nuworks Theatre, performing numerous times at the Edinburgh, Adelaide and Auckland Fringe Festivals, and also touring productions across the UK.
As a composer and arranger, Jenn has created original scores for numerous theatre productions, enriching stories with a distinctive musical voice that enhances narrative and emotional resonance.
In her professional role as an arts administrator, Jenn continues to support and champion the performing arts, fostering creative collaboration and helping to bring compelling stories to life on stage.
NICK WALTER
FOUNDER & CREATIVE
Nick Walter is a passionate theatre practitioner with over 30 years experience. He is a director, actor, designer and writer.
He has directed and designed over 70 productions including The Tempest, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Julius Caesar and Much Ado About Nothing as well as adapted works of Charles Dickens and Lewis Carroll. His outdoor productions include performances staged in sculpture gardens, a heritage mansion and lakeside metropolitan gardens.
He has trained with Shakespeare’s Globe, Donmar Warehouse, Frantic Assembly (London) and Sydney Theatre Company.
As a performer, Nick has appeared in Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo & Juliet and Electra in Stratford Upon Avon in England, touring Shakespeare productions through England, Scotland, Wales and Germany, and further productions of The Tempest, Julius Caesar, Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Antony & Cleopatra, Antigone & Medea. He has worked extensively with Nuworks Theatre and performed in award-winning shows at Edinburgh, Adelaide and Auckland Fringe Festivals.
KATHRYN WHITE
FOUNDER & CREATIVE
With creative versatility and passion for storytelling, Kathryn brings over two decades of experience to our collective as an actor, director, choreographer, producer and designer of sets, costumes, and production art.
Kathryn has directed productions of Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sense and Sensibility, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Her choreography credits span a wide range of musical theatre classics such as Anything Goes, Crazy for You, Sweet Charity, and Children of Eden.
As a designer, Kathryn has crafted costumes for productions of Clue: The Musical, Honk!, Assassins, and Hot Mikado, and has brought imaginative set designs to life in Honk!, Macbeth, Jesus Christ Superstar and Sense and Sensibility.
On stage, Kathryn has performed in roles across a diverse repertoire, including Julius Caesar, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Oliver!, The Witches of Eastwick, Beauty and the Beast, and Hello, Dolly!.
Her work has spanned numerous theatre companies throughout Melbourne, including performances and directorial projects featured in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Kathryn’s contributions have been recognised by both the Victorian Music Theatre Guild and the Lyrebird Awards.
